In a word it’s “choices”. The most important choice then, is…. what are your priorities?. What holds the most value for you in your life, and what are you willing to do to get out of life what you want? All these choices are made by everyone, everyday There is no escape, because even if we always do what we’ve always done, that in itself is a choice. Unfortunately, a lot of people seem to think the path of least resistance is to go with the flow, and not take control. This is, at best, a shortsighted method of doing things.

You see, doing only what is safest for you in the moment, holds no promises for the future. It’s like the old story of the squirrel and the rabbit. Which takes place over one summer. It talks of how the rabbit is always indulging momentary desires while the squirrel works at storing food. In the end when winter comes the squirrel is compassionate and saves the rabbit from starvation. We don’t usually have someone to bail us out and so need to make sure we prepare for whats coming ahead of time.
