Will 3 Way Links Boost Your Page Rank?

January 5th, 2009
by Catherine Smith

Link activity is the number one factor that the search engines focus on when deciding on your pagerank. Don’t worry if you don’t know what this means, just read below.

Links that point towards yoursite are known as inbound links.

Outbound links are the links you have on your site, that point to external sites.

Internal links point to other articles within your site, from any page of your own site.

Reciprocal links are exchanged with other sites. You agree to swap links and then both link to each others sites. Search engines do not always see these as valuable.

Google looks at the number of outbound links you have from your website and compares this to how many inbound links that are pointing in towards your site. If you have a lot more outbound links, than inbound it could have a negative effect on your page rank, which could result in less traffic and fewer sales for you.

Many people focus all their energy on getting one way links through directories and articles, but this can take a lot of time and the sites aren’t always related to your niche (Google prefers it when they are). There is another way and it is a lot more effective. It is called Three Way Linking and literally catapulted one of my unknown sites to the top of the search engines, which in turn helped me to get out of debt. Three way linking is an ingenious strategy and can work in many different niches. It has already worked wonders for a lot of people.

So how does Three Way Linking work?

I am sure you know, normally when setting up a reciprocal link to a site, you link site A to site B and vice versa, whilst this is no bad thing, Google much prefers one way links and will reward your site with a higher page rank if you have these one way links coming in. Three way linking uses three different sites from one niche. Site A links to Site B, Site B links to site C and site C links back to site A.

Three way links are extremely high quality, as each site receives a unique link.

In conclusion, this technique is much more helpful and effective, than spending ages chasing down reciprocal links. You don’t even have to find three way links manually, as there is software that can do it all for you. Basically once you have spent 5 minutes setting it up, you can set it and forget it. When you check back you will see an increase in page rank, traffic and sales.

Make Money Online Without Being Scammed

January 4th, 2009
by The Wookie

With the economy in bad shape, and people wondering if they will have their jobs the next day, many have turned to the meeting of money online. Is this a viable source of income? Can a person really make money online? I can tell you truthfully that the answer is yes. People every day make money with blogs, websites, and through affiliate marketing. I’m sure you’re wondering if it’s possible for someone that is just starting out with little experience to have success with this business. The answer is once again yes.

The key to success with making money online resides with understanding your market. If you will be building websites, then you also need to understand keyword research. You’ll also need to understand user habits, as well as learn how to rank your website to the top of Google. Obviously you could build a website, but without traffic the website is just stagnant, and will not allow for people to have the opportunity to either click on advertisements or purchase a product.

Simply doing a search for the keywords “make money online” in Google will return millions of results. So how do you know who is truthful, and who is just trying to get your money through the many online scams? I can tell you truthfully, that you should not have to pay money for it in e-book to make money online. All of the information that I have ever accumulated on the Internet to make money online, has always been free. Some of the so-called gurus, are more than happy to charge you hundreds of dollars and sometimes thousands of dollars, to take their online courses to learn how to make money online.

Why is it that people are so silly that they are willing to spend money on junk products? Most people believe that there is some special magic, that the product possesses that will provide them with an easy way to make money. When you think of these types of scams, they are very similar to the TV infomercials where people pay just as much money to learn schemes that turn out to be empty promises.

If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be that the most important type of traffic to your website or blog is through organic traffic. This means direct traffic coming to your site through someone searching in Google. Use Google as much as possible to find free information on the Internet if you are wanting to start an online business. The old saying still applies, if it seems too good to be true it probably is. I certainly hope, that you will use common sense just as I have when I started out in the online business to learn how to be successful. Don’t be scammed, and don’t be gullible, use common sense along with a little effort and you will find what you are seeking.

What Is The Ultimate Aim of Internet Marketing

January 3rd, 2009
by Larry Langi

The purpose of this marketing on the internet is that Web site is to provide an overview of the dramatic way that the Internet is impacting all aspects of marketing. Internet marketing activities are organized according to the five categories outlined in the table below. These categories represent the full scope of marketing as the discipline is most commonly defined. How marketers research and gather information about customers: How marketers make strategic decisions about each of the four elements of the marketing mix.

The product is much more than just the physical good that becomes the possession of the customer. It is everything about the purchase experience that a customer finds satisfying. When a customer buys a new computer, for example, the product consists of not only the tangible computer, monitor and cables, but also the information provided by the computer salesperson, the instruction manual, the warranty, the follow-up technical service, etc.

The Internet provides organizations with ways to greatly enhance the extent to which a given product satisfies customers. Clearly, online firms can engage in marketing activities and services that enhance their product-offerings in ways that traditional, in-store organizations cannot. The Internet will have a huge impact on how products are distributed to customers especially on the distribution of those products that can be digitized. This is because when online shoppers enter their credit card number and purchase a digital product, that product can be sent to them directly and immediately over the Internet.

Of course, all computer software is in a digital format, and thus could be sold and distributed to people directly on the Internet. Finally, computer software is not the only type of product that can be distributed via the Internet. Of course, words and pictures lend themselves to digitization; and most major newspapers and magazines already are distributed to online customers every day. Most of these are free. Internet advertising is especially powerful in its ability to target specific, appropriate segments of customers.

The Internet and related technology have already demonstrated a profound effect on the personal selling process. Salespeople today carry around laptop computers that connect them to their own company’s databases when they are out on sales calls. This provides them with the ability to provide the customer with extensive, relevant information almost immediately. Via the Internet, individuals can obtain free, printable coupons from a wide variety of companies.

The Internet can potentially have a dramatic impact on the price of goods and services; however, it is debatable whether the end result will be lower or higher prices. Links to two conflicting arguments are presented below. The Internet is a communication medium that efficiently brings parties together, and thus can and does provide buyers with access to a larger number of selling firms. This should foster competition among firms and drive prices down. Because of the Internet, firms will now have to compete against other firms that were once not competitors — perhaps because these other firms were thousands of miles away.

It is true that a firm’s geographic location is practically irrelevant in cyber shopping. First, firms realize mutual dependencies, and are unlikely to engage in destructive pricing behavior. Further, consumers are willing to pay higher prices for increased selection and shopping convenience, which on-line shopping clearly provides. An important point, however, is that on-line seller generally had not yet been able to charge a premium for the differentiated goods they sell via the Internet. At the present time, prices of products bought on-line are about the same as those purchased at conventional retail stores.

Micro marketing and internet

December 30th, 2008
by Myers Jacobs

Within the field of economics, two types of marketing have been defined: micromarketing and macro marketing. Micromarketing describes the activities of individual firms, beginning with originating and producing products and ending when the products reach the final user, the customer. Macro marketing, by contrast, describes how the whole system of production and distribution works in a society. The emphasis in this article is on the chief aspects of micromarketing beginning with product development and continuing through retailing. Virtually all economies need marketing functions. Even planned economies need to be concerned about directing goods and services to their populations. Nor is marketing confined to profit-making companies or to businesses that manufacture products. Doctors, lawyers, hospitals, colleges, museums, and other service enterprises also engage in marketing.

This is especially true in market economies in which there is open competition for a customer’s attention. The internet is playing a very important role as a micro marketing tool. This tool is used by many companies in the many strategies to promote their marketing values. Many in the online-marketing arena have been vocal in promoting the Internet as a safe alternative to mail. You can with direct-mail programs to turn to the relative safety and cost-efficiency of the Internet. To help move businesses online, sells E-mail marketing systems, guidelines for E-marketers while encouraging them to integrate E-mail into their campaigns.

In an effort to make marketers feel more secure, make available free virus-checking tools. Marketers that haven’t yet built up a database of customers who opt to receive electronic messages must buy those E-mail names and then send out unsolicited mail to unqualified prospects. Whether it’s a manufacturer deploying the internet to conduct micromarketing, offer direct incentives, build brand or franchise equity…Whether it’s a retailer deploying the internet to engender store loyalty, attract new customers, provide meal solutions or increase shopping frequency there is complete agreement on one issue.

All parties are hungry for a reliable arbiter of internet traffic and sales information, who can apply valid research techniques to establish industry benchmarks. Like any other internet venture, the keys to success for information services remain: actionable business insights, efficient business processes, proactive strategies, collaborative activities, scalable and customizable products, and customer-friendly software applications. Improving efficiency in advertising and promotion is also high on the priority list for marketers, who are continually faced with doing more with less. To achieve this goal, one must know to whom, where and how to spend marketing dollars and how much to allocate to each initiative.

To avoid waste, specific consumer segments must be defined at both macro and micro (targeted) levels to ensure long-term strategic objectives and near-term responsiveness. Marketers must also be able to determine the attitudinal “availability” of consumers, not only for their brands, but also for the competitive brands vying for “share of mind” within the desired category.

Making Money On the Internet —- The Beginners Quagmire

December 21st, 2008
by Mike Mastracci

It’s not your fault that you have not made a lot of money on line. It’s not your fault that there is too much out there to pick from. You probably do have what it takes, but you need some direction, don’t you. Everybody and their mother and grandmother’s next door neighbor’s third cousin’s brother is out there. Where do you turn to get off the ground?

I am going to tell you straight up, I haven’t made a dime off the internet, not even a frickin penny. In this little article, my first on the subject, I am going against what all those internet guys teach. They say, you must be an expert, convince them that you are the go to person, build trust, relationships, then, ah ha, out comes their credit card. It must work for them, but it’s not my style. I believe in honesty over hype, fact over fiction and common sense over pie in the sky.

By learning from other people who have likely been spinning their wheels, you can save a lot of trial and error and expensive experimentation. Most Newbies are very accessible and eager to help. Even on line, the best way to learn is to teach. A basic knowledge of making money on line can be found at the Beginners Cash site. Everyone has to start some place, the starting line so to speak.

Why would anyone want to make their living from the internet? There are many good reasons to give internet marketing some serious consideration. Let’s face it the economy stinks and many jobs are at risk. People do not have extra money to buy much beyond simple necessities. Many people have recently lost a life savings in the stock market and those who make their living based on the real estate market have been and continue to be hit hard. On on line business never sleeps, it always makes money. You can work on it whenever and wherever you want and the sky is the limit.

You too, may be fascinated by the internet opportunities out there. You too, may have experienced clicking onto ads from arrogant snot nosed on line millionaires talking down to you. Many true on line mentors are great, but you have to weed through tons of them, and that takes time and money. One guy I met on line offered to help me shoot a small video idea that I had to promote my divorce website, and for a mere 12,000 a day, I could come visit him and he would honor me with his presence. If he was to come to me, add first class air fare, all fist class only including first class food and accommodations for both the day before and the day after our twelve thousand dollar rendezvous!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t really believe every on line self-proclaimed GURU makes the self reported six figures a month, although I am sure many do. How do we go from the starting line to generating cash, to making huge amounts of passive income? At some point in time, in order to make it in on-line marketing, you have to treat it like a a golden opportunity.

Internet Marketing and Home Based Small Business

December 20th, 2008
by Allen Grand

The Internet has opened a whole new era of opportunity for even the smallest home-based business owner. There are countless numbers of new self-made millionaires that achieved their newfound success on the Internet. These new millionaires are no different from you and us. They started their Internet businesses from the ground up, found a niche and built their success one day at a time. In order to be successful, you must be completely passionate about your business and your success. If you don’t have a “sincere” passion, you won’t have the necessary personal drive that it takes to succeed. Businesses hosted on a free server are not taken seriously and are generally considered to be unprofessional.

If a company doesn’t care enough about its business to get its own domain name, potential customers may not feel comfortable doing business with them. A company with its own domain name and a professional looking website will have a much higher rate of success when compared with most business sites hosted on free servers. Your website is a direct reflection of you and your business. Creating a professional website designed to sell will take a great deal of time and effort, as there is much more to take into consideration than design.

You must look at a much broader picture and specifically design your website to sell. In order to create a steady stream of traffic to your website, you must give your visitors a reason to visit and continue to visit in the future. You must provide your visitors with fresh content on a continual basis. No matter how great your website is, unless you’re receiving quality, targeted traffic, it will be useless.

Your website may receive hundreds of visitors each day. However, if they aren’t interested in the products or services you’re offering, your web traffic won’t mean a thing. You must drive a continuous stream of targeted traffic to your website. Having your own publication is an absolute essential part of your success. They not only provide you with a direct line of communication with potential customers and enable you to promote your products or services, but they also build credibility.

Although marketing affiliate programs can provide you with a nice income, true Internet profits come from marketing your own in-demand product. Your words are the entire foundation of your business. Your product, website and marketing strategies all depend upon your words. You must learn how to write persuasive words specifically written for your targeted customer. You must feel your customer needs and write your copy with passion, excitement and benefit. Developing a successful marketing strategy is an essential part of your online success. In order to succeed, you must develop and implement a strategic plan that includes all of the following:

A great product, a website specifically designed to sell and a killer marketing strategy. Each step plays an important role in your overall strategy and must be developed to its fullest potential. If even one step fails, your chances of success will be minimal.

The Site Rush - What Is Website Flipping Anyway?

December 19th, 2008
by James T. Gerald

Saj P, wellknown marketing guru, is releasing his new product The Site Rush on the 16th of december. The Site Rush will deal with the subject of flipping websites for a profit.

The business of flipping websites can be immensely profitable, if you know what you are doing that is. A lot of people think that website flipping is a complicated process, but that’s not true. In fact, I will show you that anyone can do it. But first, here is a short introduction to what website flipping is exactly, so you will have a decent introduction before you check out The Site Rush.

Website flipping is all about creating a website, and then selling it to the highest bidder. Is there real money in this “game”? Well, there are loads of online businessmen and women who became financially independent flipping sites. But since a standard website sells for around a hundred bucks, how is that possible?

To start with, a skilled marketeer will have the know-how to sell his sites for more then the usual price. And, they tend to be a lot quicker at producing them as well. So those are two advantages: Making more sites, and more money per single site.

For instance, you start of by producing and selling one website a week. The domain name you use for it will costs you around ten dollars. You probably use a reseller hosting account, so that’s another five bucks to add to the cost. All the other stuff you need, you can get for free online. Using this, you can build a website in let’s say one hour.

So, you now have a website that cost you 15 dollars to make, plus one hour of your time. If you can sell that website for more than 15 dollars you made a profit. For instance, you sell it for 50 bucks. That’s 35 dollars in your pocket. How can you make more money? Well since it cost you one hour to make this site, you can start to make a few more and start multiplying that 35 dollars!

After some time flipping websites, you will start to see some trends develop. For instance, you will see that website A took you a week to sell, and you got a 50 dollar profit for it. But website B got sold within a day, and made you 80 dollars. If you notice stuff like that, you can act upon it, producing the type of site that sells best.

The more you do this, the quicker you will get at it. Did the first website take you one hour to build, after ten sites this may be reduced to just thirty minutes. But they still sell for the same price, so that’s extra income for you.

If this article got you interested, then I’d encourage you to check out The Site Rush Video by Saj P. What I just told you was only a beginners intro to website flipping, but there is way more to the subject.

Revealed: Value-added marketing in the digital world

December 14th, 2008
by Ryan Langi

The key secret to success on the Internet and the World Wide Web is to provide value-added marketing. Value-added marketing means offering something of value for free. It is proving your worth as a vendor. It is delivering exceptional service and valuable products before making the sale. There are many examples of this type of marketing on the Web. The best approach for each company depends entirely on its products, services, and areas of expertise. Somewhere in your organization there is a unique body of information. That information is powerful enough to draw people to your Web site, where they will be exposed to your message, and compelled to tell their friends to visit as well.

The marketing done for the utilization of the digital domain has not only improved the businesses but also enhance the use of the internet. Nowadays, companies have a great interest to the use of the Internet in the service of marketing and particularly communication. As a consequence, it became more professional and organized. In fact, the Internet has witnessed these last years an important development and started to be the main concern of the leaders of business.

Indeed, Web sites which were simple compiled data, and have become today real shop windows, even virtual shops. This led us to focus in the practices of managers in this field and to determine with which degree they seize opportunities that are presented to them. The work will attempt to give a better comprehension for the numerous benefits offered by an online presence. Attracted by the big potentialities offered by the Internet, thousands of companies are born every day and important investments are made. These investments, which are amount to million dollars, become widespread and advertising agencies specialized in the virtual were established all around the world, introducing thereby a new advertising tool. In spite of the surprising figures, the potentialities which offer the network of networks, Most of the businesses hesitate. In fact, certain businesses seem to be reluctant about the adoption of this communication technique. Others are in the first phases of the process of adoption by having Web sites. Others were attracted by these potentialities, and started to benefit from its first applications by using online advertising. Nevertheless, the number of web sites is still small.

The internet provides many benefits to businesses, a wide variety of companies have quickly adopted the Internet as the means to conduct their marketing communication functions economically and efficiently. Thousands of companies have invested in the creation of company. This paper focuses on the motivators that encourage managers to set up a Web site. The literature on Web advertising has already addressed this issue. Indeed, organizations find it increasingly important to represent themselves on the Internet to get more customers, increase the public’s awareness of the company and its products. Moreover, they want to improve their corporate image and consumer service, find new prospects, increase visibility, expand their market, and reduce costs.

With the growing scale of the Internet, it has become efficient for companies to offer information on the Web and to attract old and, more importantly, new customers to the company. Web advertising saves time and makes it possible to choose from a wide variety of products. However, some managers consider that the Internet does not bring a concrete interest for the company and that the creation of a Web site does not constitute a competitive advantage. This negative perception of the utility of the Internet is related mainly to the attitude of the manager, his personality and his degree of implication for introducing changes in his company.
